last evening of el dude before the holiday

a night before el dude took off to the beautiful beaches of Croatia we met for a couple of beers and some puffs. we took frisbee and beer and went to a half abandoned stadium near by. after some beers we woke up at my friend's place smoking bong:) it was a nice evening pity that next time i'll meet el dude will be in two month.

another crazy custom...

In some European countries people burn cars to show their unappreciation of government policy. here it is not like that. nobody burns cars... maybe there are not enough cars on the streets, i don't know. maybe that is why bikes are being burned instead. that is right! there are a lot of bikes in this place. many of them are abandon and getting rusty in nasty Swedish weather.
or maybe it is another crazy tradition?

a crazy custom of the hall of residence where I live

Every may in a place called Parentesen an outrageous brännboll(Swedish variation of American baseball or Finnish pesäpallo or Russian game лопта) contest breaks out. The contest itself does not have any meaning in my opinion. It is not very awarding to win it because it means you will have to organize the same competition next year which is quite disturbing when you have a lot of exams. The competition was meant to be a joke which would make people meet and have a nice time together but at the same time nobody wants to lose... The losing team must clean the field which, i can promise, will become a dirty mess by the end of the 2 weeks long contest. Some people try to do whatever it takes just not to lose. I know that some invited professional players to play for them. It makes me laugh sarcastically. Instead of having fun with your friends people become nervous and start unnecessary quarrels with each other.

this is the game field between the two Parentesen houses

the same place almost two weeks later

the last game. now it is being decided who will clean...

I don't know...

just a small part of what these guys had to clean up

from discobedience

Here is my pub where I spend most of the weekend serving beer and helping people to have fun. I am not payed for this job since it is a student-club, the work is rather volunteer. I do it because i like it. A few months ago I was elected to be responsible for the pub.
